The Prince Connection
Much of the material on Times Squared originally began life as sessions intended for a third Madhouse album — tentatively titled "26" — recorded between 1985 and 1988 at Paisley Park Studios. Prince wrote or co-wrote most of the music and performed many of the instrumental parts, while Eric Leeds contributed his distinctive saxophone, flute work, and arrangements throughout. The result is an album that sits in deep conversation with Prince's late-1980s experimental period.
The Music
