The Performance
The show opened with A Head Full of Dreams and Yellow before moving into Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall and The Scientist — a setlist that immediately drew the entire crowd into the kind of mass singalong that only the very best Glastonbury headliners can produce. The middle of the set covered Paradise, Everglow, Clocks, Charlie Brown, Hymn For The Weekend, and the genuinely emotional Fix You.
The Viola Beach tribute — Boys That Sing — was one of the most moving moments of the entire festival weekend. The encore brought Barry Gibb himself onto the stage for To Love Somebody and Stayin' Alive duets that became instant Glastonbury history, before closing with A Sky Full of Stars and Up&Up. Intro and outro pieces included O Mio Babbino Caro, Kaleidoscope, and a short closing My Way.
